In the early winter of 2013, Purina donated money to the Michigan Humane Society (MHS). They used the funds for a program that gives away straw and shelters to people who are unable to bring their dogs inside during the winter. It is a critical service that helps many dogs make it through the winter. Due to the gift, the MHS was able to give out more straw and shelters that any previous year. We went to Detroit to document volunteers load up and deliver these items to the people and dogs who needed them. We also talked to some officials from the MHS to learn about what this program and Purina’s generosity meant to them.
Role: Producer
I organized the shoot and helped write the interview questions. On location, I conducted the interviews, managed releases, shot stills and ensured we got all the shots we needed. When editing, I helped sequence and shape the final edit.
